- OUR MISSION
Honoring our Veterans in Washington, D.C.
The mission of Honor Flight is to transport America’s Veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honoring those who have served and sacrificed for our GREAT country.
Honor Flight is a national network of independent hubs working together to pay tribute to our nation’s veterans with an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. via charter bus, a trip many of our veterans may not otherwise be able to take. Participation in an Honor Flight trip gives veterans the chance to share this moment with other veterans. Each veteran may bring one guardian to share in this experience. The guardians are asked to make a donation.
The Honor Flight of the Appalachian Highlands is currently accepting applications from all veterans, with priority given to veterans who served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. To make this possible, we need your support! Our goal is to ensure that no veteran ever has to pay. We will gladly accept your tax deductible donation.
