Eligibility:
Any veteran who served in the U.S. military, including the Reserves and National Guard, is eligible for an Honor Flight.

Combat service or overseas deployment is not required. Eligibility is based solely on honorable service in the U.S. military.

Trip Priority:
Trip priority is based on era of service and whether the veteran has previously visited their memorial.

Priority is given in the following order:

• World War II veterans who have not yet visited their memorial
• Veterans who served between World War I and the Korean War
• Korean War veterans
• Veterans who served between the Korean and Vietnam Wars
• Vietnam War veterans and subsequent eras, in chronological order

Terminally Ill Veterans Veterans with terminal illnesses may be granted priority equivalent to World War II veterans.

Reminder for 2026: Visitors must show REAL ID at Arlington National Cemetery.
